ABM is thrilled to now be acting as agent for John Kirkpatrick’s solo work (in addition to his duo touring with Martin Carthy). One of the most prolific figures on the English folk scene, performing solo, in duos, acoustic groups and electric bands, and has established an enviable reputation as an instrumental virtuoso (melodeon, Anglo concertina and button accordion), as well as a leading interpreter of English folk music.

John will have a new Fledg’ling album release, Coat-Tails Flying, this summer, launched at Sidmouth FolkWeek, followed by general album-related touring in Autumn/Winter 2017, in addition to options of his popular themed shows. These include: Carolling & Crumpets, a heart-warming look at the timeless rituals found in the folklore and folk music of England at Midwinter (24th Nov – 20th Dec); The Victorian Farmer’s Year In Song presenting a programme of traditional reflecting the highs and lows of each season, and Tunes From The Trenches (Songs from the First and Second World Wars), in which John opens a kit bag of of popular hits of the day and songs sung on the Front Line by service personnel themselves.
